Read-only wherever the processor allows it

Six of the eight issue a key that can only read. Creem and Lemon Squeezy do not: any key they issue can also change the account. Rather than turn those founders away, Thonest accepts the key, encrypts it before storing it, and only ever uses it to read. Every key can be revoked from the processor’s own dashboard at any time.

One rule, so the figures compare

For every processor except RevenueCat, Thonest reads the subscriptions and computes monthly recurring revenue itself: tax excluded, trials excluded, annual plans spread across twelve months. The same arithmetic for everyone means a Paddle seller and a Stripe seller can be compared honestly. RevenueCat reports its own MRR figure, and that is what a RevenueCat timeline records.

Questions founders ask

Which payment processors can I show verified revenue from?

Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Dodo Payments, RevenueCat, Creem and Lemon Squeezy. Superwall connects as well, and reading its revenue is being set up.

Do I need to create an account with anyone else?

No. You pick your processor, paste one key from its dashboard, and your history appears. There is no separate app to install and no account to open anywhere else.

Are the keys read-only?

Wherever the processor offers a read-only key, that is the key you paste, and it cannot move money, issue refunds or change your account. Creem and Lemon Squeezy do not offer one, so for those Thonest stores the key encrypted and only ever uses it to read.

Is revenue counted the same way whichever processor I use?

Yes, for every processor except RevenueCat: Thonest reads your subscriptions and computes MRR under one published rule, so companies stay comparable. RevenueCat reports an MRR figure of its own, and that is the figure recorded.
