The key you need

In your Creem dashboard, open Developers and copy your API key. Switch Test Mode off first if you want your real revenue rather than test data. It starts with creem_.

Creem does not offer read-only keys yet — its own documentation says there are no read-only or scoped keys today, so any Creem key can also refund payments and cancel subscriptions. Thonest encrypts the key before storing it, only ever uses it to read, and you can rotate it in Creem at any time.

Seats, and cancellations at the end of a period

Creem supports seat-based plans. Thonest counts the seats on each subscription, so a team plan billed per seat contributes what it actually brings in rather than the price of one seat.

A subscription set to cancel at the end of its period is still paying until that date, so it keeps counting until then — the same way a Stripe subscription set to cancel at period end is treated. A one-time product is not recurring revenue and is not counted at all.

What gets counted

Recurring subscription revenue, with tax excluded, since Creem handles tax as merchant of record. Active and past-due subscriptions count, trials do not, and plans billed every three, six or twelve months are spread evenly across the months they cover.

A Test Mode key only reads Creem's test environment, and Thonest recognises it as test mode, so test figures are never ranked.

Does a subscription scheduled to cancel still count?

Yes, until the end of the period it has paid for. After that it stops counting.
