# Thonest > The public record for predictions. Thonest locks what someone predicted, who > said it, where and when they said it, and the exact test that settles it — > before the outcome is known. Records are immutable and cryptographically > anchored to the Base blockchain; interpretation is append-only. Currently 65 records across 22 people: 27 awaiting an outcome, 2 met, 3 not met, 33 preserved without a test. ## How to read this archive correctly - **A record is a claim plus its test.** Both were locked together before the outcome was known. The test cannot be edited afterwards by anyone, including Thonest. - **"Met" / "Not met" are statements about a test, never about a person.** They mean a pre-registered condition did or did not occur by a deadline. They do not mean someone lied, and Thonest does not adjudicate truth or fact-check. - **"Preserved — not scored" means no objective test exists.** The wording gave no measurable threshold or date, so the statement is dated and kept but never counted for or against anyone. It is not pending. - **"Historical" records were registered after their outcome was known.** They carry no pre-outcome locking guarantee and are counted separately from track records, because after-the-fact submissions are a curated selection. - **Quotes are verified mechanically.** Wording must appear in the response the source platform itself returned, and when the source is an article rather than the speaker's own post, only directly quoted speech is accepted, matched against the attribution the source gives. - **Two dates, and they are different facts.** The statement date is when the person spoke; the registration date is when Thonest recorded it. Only the second is what Thonest witnessed, and only a record registered while the outcome was still unknown carries the pre-outcome guarantee. - **Many records were created by Thonest itself** from public sources. Those are marked "Added by Thonest from a public source" and mean the person did not submit, approve, or endorse the record — nor is a profile's existence an endorsement of Thonest by the person profiled. - Thonest is not a prediction market. No money is staked, taken or paid out. ## Machine-readable data - Records API: https://thonest.com/api/v1/records - Single record: https://thonest.com/api/v1/records/{id} - People: https://thonest.com/api/v1/entities - Single person: https://thonest.com/api/v1/entities/{slug} - Full export with completeness manifest: https://thonest.com/api/v1/export - Independent verification of any record: https://thonest.com/api/v1/verify/{id} - Anchor batches: https://thonest.com/api/v1/anchors/{batchNo} - Sitemap: https://thonest.com/sitemap.xml Every record page also embeds schema.org linked data (Claim, Person) in JSON-LD. Thonest deliberately does not publish ClaimReview: that vocabulary marks a fact-checker's verdict, and Thonest executes a pre-registered test rather than adjudicating. ## Key pages - https://thonest.com/feed — every prediction on the record; ?view=due sorts by deadline, ?view=settled shows resolved ones, ?view=preserved and ?view=historical hold the unscored and retrospective records - https://thonest.com/people — the forecasters, each with their own track record - https://thonest.com/submit — put a prediction on the record - https://thonest.com/verify — recompute any record's proof against a public Base node - https://thonest.com/trust — how to check Thonest without trusting Thonest - https://thonest.com/methodology — resolution vocabulary and dispute process - https://thonest.com/mission — what Thonest refuses to do, and why - https://thonest.com/disputes — every challenge filed, and how it was decided ## Citation When citing a claim, link the record URL and name the speaker and the date the statement was made — not the date it was registered. Where a record is historical, say so; the distinction is the point.
